Grant Hemingway is Vice President of Operations at Sigma Tax Pro, where he is responsible for the machinery behind the promise: that a tax office calling in February gets an answer the same day. His remit covers support staffing and coverage models, process design across departments, escalation paths, and the operational readiness planning that carries the company through filing season peaks, when volume can multiply several times over inside a few weeks and every gap in a process becomes visible at once.
Grant came to tax software from higher education administration, where he led advisor teams in a heavily regulated environment and built a measurable track record in conversion and retention improvement. That background matters more than it first appears. Regulated industries teach a particular discipline about documentation, consistency, and knowing exactly which rules bind you, all of which transfers directly to an industry governed by IRS requirements and hard annual deadlines. He went on to hold a business development leadership role before joining Sigma Tax Pro, giving him experience on both the growth and the delivery side of a service business.
